Frequently Asked Questions

  • We understand that it may not always be possible for you to bring your child to class yourself. Any adult is welcome to accompany your child: parents, guardians, grandparents, uncles, aunties, friends!

  • We need your help to create a music-making community. A supervising adult must accompany each child (and is encouraged to participate) for the following classes:

    • Baby’s First Duet

    • All In

Parent/guardian supervision is encouraged but not required for:

    • Junior Jams

    • Individual Lessons

You are however welcome to stay in the waiting area or quiet space if you prefer.

Please refer to the terms and conditions of your enrolment.

  • We are located at 4 Service Street in Traralgon (opposite the back entry to Intersport). There is limited 2-hour parking along either side of this one-way street (entry via Church St end only).

We recommend that you aim to arrive to class a little earlier to ensure that you can find parking elsewhere if needed, particularly during busy periods.

  • There is some space available for pram parking in our indoor waiting area. Space is limited and may fill up quickly.

You are unable to leave your pram on the footpath outside.

  • Anything comfortable that allows for full participation and movement (for children and adults alike!)

Please remove shoes in the waiting area.

Please note that classes for pre-primary age children mostly involve sitting on the floor. We do have seating available for those who may need it.

    • Toilet

    • Baby change table (please take any rubbish/nappies with you)

    • Quiet space (including a comfy couch)

  • We ask that food is not brought to classes (including waiting area/quiet space).

  • You are more than welcome to take photos/videos of your own child in our space before and after class.

We ask that you refrain from taking photos/videos during a class without prior permission. You’ll be too busy participating in the music-making!

Please be conscious of capturing others in the background of photos and videos.

  • Watch this space!

  • Never! Please get in touch here

Please note that there is limited availability for after-school lessons (preference is given to school-age children).

  • Instruments (tuned and untuned percussion) are provided for use during class time.

    For Junior Jams:
Keyboards/pianos are provided for use during class time. Families are encouraged to have access to own keyboard/piano at home to facilitate practice between lessons.

    For individual piano lessons:
Student enrolment will only be accepted if they have access to an electric piano (88 keys, weighted) or piano at home.

Please reach out if you would like advice regarding selecting the right instrument for your child’s needs.
